I had the opportunity to shoot a training seminar held by UFC Veteran Brandon Vera at KnuckleUp Fitness in Atlanta. In the 3 hour session, Brandon showed participants some of the techniques he uses when competing including a couple of grappling moves that really impressed the group.
I recently had the pleasure of spending all day on the floor of the April 2011 Lutador Grappling Tournament and it really is my favorite one to shoot. The event is well organized and total attendee participation is steady, but not chaotic. The flow is smooth and as the different divisions progress throughout the day, steadily leading up to the best of the best, the opportunities for great shots become plentiful.
